  • 2006 – Elected Judge of the 301st Family District Court, Dallas County in November and sworn in on January 1, 2007.
  • 2006 - Endorsed as Qualified by the Committee for a Qualified Judiciary.
  • 1986 to 2007 - Private practice in family law with focus on Guardian Ad Litem representation of children in Child Protective Services cases and private cases, mediation and collaborative law. Also served as Visiting Associate Judge/ Master in Chancery, from 1991 to 2001, in the 254TH, 255TH, 256TH, 301ST, 302ND, 303RD and 330TH District Courts and as a Special Master in the 303RD Judicial District Court.
  • 1972 to 1981 - Special education teacher and educational diagnostician with the Dallas ISD (teacher) and Grand Prairie ISD (diagnostician).
